The CPCBC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) is a nationally recognised qualification designed for building professionals aiming to manage low-rise to medium-rise projects. It covers both residential and commercial construction, with coursework reflecting key skills in structural principles, contracts, cost estimating, codes/standards, and project management.
This diploma qualifies graduates to work on Class 1 & 10 buildings (houses, small structures) up to 3 storeys, as well as Class 2–9 buildings (commercial/medium-rise) up to Type B construction (generally ≤3 storeys). In other words, it prepares you to oversee the construction of homes, townhouses, and low-to-mid rise developments within the National Construction Code limits for medium-rise construction.
