Blue trees saving lives
At Prepare Training, we are committed to ensuring that all workers have a safe environment to work
in and, to this end, have created courses that encompass this.
However, Workplace Health and Safety comes in many forms and is not just the physical aspect –
there is also the mental wellbeing of all working in the industry.
We are so pleased to see the recognition of the fact that mental health in the construction industry
is vitally important and on a recent trip to WA, one of our staff members saw a lot of blue painted
tree stumps on their travels (even at Rottnest Island) – the symbol for the “Are you OK” campaign
and a great reminder to ask the question of our mates (whether in the construction industry or not).
To add this, we found a great article from Masters Builders QLD which gives you links to the latest
campaign called the “GET CONSTRUCTION TALKING CAMPAIGN”.
Within this article is a link to the free portal attached to this campaign, providing many resources
such as videos, articles and webinars.
Whether for yourself or your mates, it is worth having a look at this article and the portal because
you never know when your safety awareness (both physically and mentally) could save a life.
