Overview of the Advanced Diploma of Construction Management (CPC60220)

The Advanced Diploma of Construction Management is a nationally recognised qualification that can be completed in 12-18 months on the Gold Coast or online. It is designed for those who want to pursue a career in construction management. The course will provide you with the skills and knowledge to effectively manage construction projects in class 2 – 9, type A and B construction projects.

What will I learn during the course?

During the Advanced Diploma of Construction Management, students will cover a range of topics essential to the construction management industry. These include project planning and execution, risk management, contract administration, cost estimation and control, as well as quality assurance. Students will also gain a strong understanding of construction law and project finance.

Study Options:

  • Face to Face
  • Distance learning (Self Paced)
  • Recognition of Prior Learning (Using your current skills and experience)
  • Combination of face to face and distance learning (Work at your own pace at home and then drop in for face to face learning when you need a little more guidance)

Eligibility requirements:

There are no prerequisite qualifications to commence this course however it is recommended that candidates hold a minimum of 4 years construction experience and a minimum year 10 education level

What can the Advanced Diploma of Construction Management lead to?

The Advanced Diploma of Construction Management can lead to various job titles including but not limited to project manager, site manager, contract administrator and estimator. In some cases, the graduate may find themselves self-employed as a consultant or working as a project manager for a construction company. The skills learnt during the course are also beneficial for those who wish to pursue further studies in construction management or related fields.

The Advanced Diploma of Construction Management is nationally recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). After successfully completing the course, graduates will receive a qualification that is recognised by employers across Australia.
